Chambersburg's Trusted Restoration Experts, Ready Around the Clock

Major Restoration has been serving Chambersburg and the surrounding Franklin County area with professional, reliable damage restoration. This borough has a significant stock of older homes, many of which were built before modern waterproofing and insulation standards, making them more vulnerable to moisture intrusion, mold growth, and storm-related damage. The Conococheague Creek runs through the area, and combined with Franklin County’s unpredictable weather, basement flooding and water damage are real threats for local homeowners. Our team handles everything from burst pipes and sewage backups to fire recovery and full structural reconstruction. We work with your insurance provider, respond to emergencies at any hour, and treat every Chambersburg home or business like it’s our own.

Our Services

Our Restoration Services in Chambersburg

We offer a full range of restoration and remediation services tailored to the specific challenges Chambersburg properties face. From historic downtown buildings to newer construction along the outskirts of Franklin County, our team is equipped to handle it all.

Heavy rain, frozen pipes, and flooding near Conococheague Creek can leave Chambersburg homes with serious water damage in a matter of hours. Our team arrives fast to extract standing water, dry out affected areas, and prevent secondary damage like mold and structural rot. We document everything carefully to support your insurance claim from start to finish.

Fire & Smoke Damage Restoration

A fire in a Chambersburg home leaves behind more than visible damage. Smoke odor penetrates walls, insulation, and furniture long after the flames are out. Major Restoration handles structural repairs, soot removal, deodorization, and full reconstruction so your property is safe and livable again as quickly as possible.

Older Chambersburg homes with stone foundations and damp basements are prime environments for mold growth, especially after water damage. Our certified mold remediation team identifies the source of moisture, safely removes mold colonies, and treats affected surfaces to prevent regrowth. We restore healthy air quality so your family or employees are protected.

A sewage backup is one of the most hazardous situations a Chambersburg homeowner can face, and older municipal sewer lines in parts of the borough can increase that risk. Our team arrives quickly with the right protective equipment to safely remove contaminated material, disinfect the area, and restore the space to a sanitary condition. We handle the mess so you do not have to.

Biohazard situations require specialized training, equipment, and a compassionate approach. Whether the situation involves a trauma scene, unattended death, or hazardous material exposure in a Chambersburg property, Major Restoration responds with discretion and professionalism. Our team follows strict safety protocols to fully decontaminate and restore the affected space.

Many properties in Chambersburg, particularly those built before the 1980s, contain asbestos in insulation, floor tiles, or ceiling materials. Disturbing asbestos without proper handling puts everyone in the building at risk. Our licensed asbestos removal team safely tests, contains, and removes all hazardous material in full compliance with Pennsylvania regulations before any renovation or restoration work continues.

Common Problems We Fix In Chambersburg, PA

Chambersburg properties face a range of damage risks tied to local weather patterns, aging infrastructure, and the natural landscape of Franklin County. Knowing what to watch for can help you act before a small problem becomes a costly disaster.

Water Damage from Plumbing Failures and Storms

Franklin County receives significant rainfall throughout the year, and properties near Conococheague Creek are at particular risk during storm surges and spring thaws. Inside the home, older plumbing in Chambersburg’s historic housing stock can fail under pressure from freezing temperatures, leading to burst pipes and sudden interior flooding. Major Restoration responds quickly to extract water, dry structural materials, and prevent long-term damage to floors, walls, and foundations.

Fire and Smoke-Related Damage

Fires in Chambersburg homes and commercial properties often result in damage that goes far beyond what the flames touched. Smoke travels through ductwork, infiltrates walls, and leaves odors and soot that standard cleaning cannot remove. Our fire restoration team addresses both the structural damage and the invisible effects of smoke to fully restore your property to a safe and comfortable condition.

Mold Growth in Damp Basements and Crawl Spaces

The combination of older home construction, high seasonal humidity, and occasional flooding makes mold a persistent problem for many Chambersburg homeowners, particularly in basements and crawl spaces. Mold can develop within 24 to 48 hours of a moisture event and may go undetected for weeks or months. Our remediation team locates every affected area, removes mold safely, and addresses the underlying moisture source to stop it from coming back.

Storm Damage to Roofs, Siding, and Windows

Chambersburg sits in a corridor that regularly experiences heavy thunderstorms, high winds, and winter ice storms that can tear off shingles, crack siding, and shatter windows. Damaged exteriors let moisture into wall cavities quickly, leading to rot, mold, and insulation damage if not addressed fast. Major Restoration provides emergency board-up and tarping services alongside full repair and reconstruction to get your property secured and restored.

Our basement flooded due to a broken sewer pipe. Major did a wonderful job of clean-up. Anthony and Cam did an awesome job of putting our room back together the way it was before the flooding. I would highly recommend Major and Anthony and Cam!

We can’t say enough amazing things about Major Restoration Services! After an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience with ServPro, Major Restorations came in and completely turned our situation around. From the very first phone call to the final walk-through, they were fair, transparent, and professional every step of the way. Duy was incredible—he came out right away to assess the water damage, had a detailed estimate to us the same day, and got the job started the very next morning. From there, the entire project was completed in less than a month! He even reviewed our outrageous invoice from ServPro and pointed out where they were clearly overcharging us. His honesty and industry knowledge were such a breath of fresh air. Tyler started tear-out and water remediation and was fantastic—thorough and clearly knew exactly what needed to be done. Jay and Cameron took care of the remodel and we couldn’t be happier with the quality of their work. They were friendly, respectful, and clearly cared about doing the job right. We truly hope we never need water damage services again, but if we do—or need any remodel work—Major Restoration Services will be our very first call. This is a company that genuinely cares about their clients and takes pride in doing the job right. They’ve earned our trust and our business for life!

I wanted to make sure I leave a review of the team at Major Restoration. I purchased my first home in May of 2024. Within days of moving in, I had a plumbing issue that needed immediate correction. I contacted my insurance company who has a national contract with another national restoration service. After the initial company came to my house, they remediated the sewage damage and I was told I would be contacted by the restoration team to complete the restoration. MONTHS went by with little to no response from the other company. After getting the run around for months and not having use of my first level and full bathroom, I had my fill of the nonsense. I reached out to Major Restoration, hoping beyond hope that the team there could help me. My initial call was exactly what I needed at the time - I was met with compassion and quick estimate set up. Duoy and Brian came out to see what was left after the other company refused to complete the work. They were extremely kind, compassionate and thorough, ensuring that the estimate they worked up for the insurance company would completely restore my first level and get me whole again. Within weeks, the team at Major Restoration begun the work of putting things back together for me. They worked with a plumbing sub-con, DeRose Plumbing, who were also very kind, respectful and understanding. Major didn't just restore my first level - they made the space BETTER than it was when I bought it. The work they did was NEXT LEVEL. My family room, bathroom and laundry room are the showpiece of my house now, thanks to Major! I can't recommend this team enough. They were thorough, professional, kind and respectful. Every single team member, from the estimate team to the restoration crew to the office staff, treated me with respect and kindness, and the restoration work was completed impeccably. My only regret is that I listened to my insurance company and allowed them to pull in a national company to address the issue. In the future, my first choice will be Major Restoration.
