Our Services

Our Water Damage Restoration Services in Gordonville

Major Restoration delivers targeted damage recovery for Gordonville properties, from older farmhouses to modern family homes. Every service is backed by certified technicians and clear communication throughout the project.

Gordonville’s older homes and proximity to the Pequea Creek make water intrusion a real risk after heavy rain or plumbing failures. Our certified team responds fast, extracting standing water and drying structural materials before secondary damage sets in. We restore your property to pre-loss condition and handle all insurance documentation.

Fires in Lancaster County rural properties often spread quickly due to older wood-frame construction common in Gordonville. Our fire and smoke restoration team removes char, neutralizes odors, and rebuilds affected structures. We work alongside your insurance adjuster to keep the process moving.

Damp basements and crawl spaces in Gordonville homes create ideal conditions for mold growth, especially after water intrusion events. We locate hidden mold colonies, contain the affected area, and remove contaminated materials safely. Our team also addresses the moisture source to prevent mold from returning.

Lancaster County sees its share of damaging storms, and Gordonville properties can take a hard hit from high winds, hail, and heavy rainfall. We repair damaged roofs, siding, windows, and structural components quickly to prevent further water intrusion. Emergency board-up and tarping services are available around the clock.

Sewage backups are a serious health hazard that demand immediate professional response. Gordonville homes with aging drain lines or overwhelmed septic systems are especially vulnerable during heavy rain events. Our team safely removes contaminated material, disinfects all affected surfaces, and restores your home to a safe condition.

Floodwaters from seasonal storms and nearby waterways can push into Gordonville basements and lower levels without warning. We extract floodwater, dry structural components, and treat affected areas for microbial growth before completing full restoration. Fast action is critical to limiting long-term structural damage.

Common Water Damage Problems We Fix in Gordonville

Lancaster County weather and aging housing stock create recurring damage risks for Gordonville property owners. Knowing the warning signs helps you act before minor problems become major repairs.

Water Damage from Plumbing Failures and Storms

Gordonville’s older farmhouses and historic homes often have aging plumbing systems that are prone to burst pipes, pinhole leaks, and failing supply lines. After a heavy storm, rainwater can also overwhelm drainage systems and push water into basements and crawl spaces. Warning signs include water stains on ceilings, warped flooring, and musty odors. Our team extracts standing water, dries structural materials, and restores affected areas fully.

Fire and Smoke-Related Damage

Wood-frame construction is common in Gordonville’s rural residential properties, and older homes can lack modern fire-suppression features, which allows fires to spread quickly. Even a contained kitchen fire can leave smoke residue deep inside wall cavities, ductwork, and insulation. That residue causes ongoing odor and air quality issues if not properly treated. We remove all smoke-damaged material, apply odor-neutralizing treatments, and rebuild affected sections to code.

Mold Growth in Damp Basements and Crawl Spaces

High humidity levels during Gordonville summers, combined with the area’s older stone and block foundations, create persistent moisture problems in lower levels of homes. Mold can begin growing within 24 to 48 hours of a water intrusion event and often goes unnoticed behind walls and under flooring. Musty smells, visible discoloration, and worsening allergy symptoms are key indicators. Our remediation team removes mold at the source and corrects the moisture conditions driving its growth.

Storm Damage to Roofs, Siding, and Windows

Gordonville sits in a region that sees significant storm activity, including high-wind events and hail during spring and summer months. Damage to roofing shingles, gutters, and siding can go unnoticed until water begins infiltrating the home’s envelope. Left unaddressed, even small roof breaches allow water to spread through insulation and into ceiling framing. Our storm damage team provides emergency tarping, full structural assessment, and permanent repairs to protect your property.

Our basement flooded due to a broken sewer pipe. Major did a wonderful job of clean-up. Anthony and Cam did an awesome job of putting our room back together the way it was before the flooding. I would highly recommend Major and Anthony and Cam!

We can’t say enough amazing things about Major Restoration Services! After an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience with ServPro, Major Restorations came in and completely turned our situation around. From the very first phone call to the final walk-through, they were fair, transparent, and professional every step of the way. Duy was incredible—he came out right away to assess the water damage, had a detailed estimate to us the same day, and got the job started the very next morning. From there, the entire project was completed in less than a month! He even reviewed our outrageous invoice from ServPro and pointed out where they were clearly overcharging us. His honesty and industry knowledge were such a breath of fresh air. Tyler started tear-out and water remediation and was fantastic—thorough and clearly knew exactly what needed to be done. Jay and Cameron took care of the remodel and we couldn’t be happier with the quality of their work. They were friendly, respectful, and clearly cared about doing the job right. We truly hope we never need water damage services again, but if we do—or need any remodel work—Major Restoration Services will be our very first call. This is a company that genuinely cares about their clients and takes pride in doing the job right. They’ve earned our trust and our business for life!

I wanted to make sure I leave a review of the team at Major Restoration. I purchased my first home in May of 2024. Within days of moving in, I had a plumbing issue that needed immediate correction. I contacted my insurance company who has a national contract with another national restoration service. After the initial company came to my house, they remediated the sewage damage and I was told I would be contacted by the restoration team to complete the restoration. MONTHS went by with little to no response from the other company. After getting the run around for months and not having use of my first level and full bathroom, I had my fill of the nonsense. I reached out to Major Restoration, hoping beyond hope that the team there could help me. My initial call was exactly what I needed at the time - I was met with compassion and quick estimate set up. Duoy and Brian came out to see what was left after the other company refused to complete the work. They were extremely kind, compassionate and thorough, ensuring that the estimate they worked up for the insurance company would completely restore my first level and get me whole again. Within weeks, the team at Major Restoration begun the work of putting things back together for me. They worked with a plumbing sub-con, DeRose Plumbing, who were also very kind, respectful and understanding. Major didn't just restore my first level - they made the space BETTER than it was when I bought it. The work they did was NEXT LEVEL. My family room, bathroom and laundry room are the showpiece of my house now, thanks to Major! I can't recommend this team enough. They were thorough, professional, kind and respectful. Every single team member, from the estimate team to the restoration crew to the office staff, treated me with respect and kindness, and the restoration work was completed impeccably. My only regret is that I listened to my insurance company and allowed them to pull in a national company to address the issue. In the future, my first choice will be Major Restoration.

Frequently Asked Questions About Water Damage Restoration

Get clear answers to the questions Gordonville homeowners ask most often about water damage restoration services and costs.

Costs in Gordonville typically range from $1,500 for minor water intrusion up to $15,000 or more for significant flooding with structural repairs. The final cost depends on the extent of damage, materials affected, and how quickly the damage was caught. Most homeowner insurance policies cover restoration costs, and we work directly with your insurer to document the claim.

Most water damage restoration projects in Gordonville take between three and seven days for drying and mitigation, with full reconstruction taking one to three weeks depending on the scope of damage. Larger losses involving flooring, drywall, and structural framing take longer to restore properly. We give you a clear timeline estimate after our initial assessment.

Minor water damage cleanup and drying typically does not require a permit in Gordonville. However, structural repairs, electrical work, or significant reconstruction may require a building permit through East Earl Township or the relevant local authority. Major Restoration handles all permit applications on your behalf so you are not left navigating that process alone.

You should call for professional help immediately after discovering water damage in your Gordonville home. Mold can begin developing within 24 to 48 hours, and structural materials like subfloor and drywall deteriorate quickly when saturated. The faster our team responds, the lower your overall repair costs will be. Major Restoration offers 24/7 emergency response for exactly this reason.
